Peter Ostrum - Veterinarian

Peter Ostrum was a talented new actor when he played Charlie Bucket in the 1971 version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. When filming was completed, he was offered a three-year movie deal but opted not to sign the contracts. He instead decided to follow through on his love for animals and pursued a career in veterinary medicine. Charlie Bucket may have won his Golden Ticket to the chocolate factory, but Peter Ostrum put that gold into being a vet.

Heather DeLoach - Entrepreneur

Best known for her portrayal of the tap-dancing girl dressed as a bumblebee in the music video of Blind Melon's No Rain in 1992, Heather DeLoach hasn’t left that image behind. She reprised her role as ‘Bee Girl’ for ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic’s 1993 music video, Bedrock Anthem. The song Bee Girl on Pearl Jam's Lost Dogs album is a tribute to her. DeLoach became a business owner after acting jobs dried up. She runs Sweet Bee Candy Stations and Event Planning in Lake Forest, California. In 2017, she married financial advisor Matthew Greiner.

Josh Saviano - Lawyer

Josh Saviano's name is still remembered by a fair number of people as Paul Pfeiffer from The Wonder Years fame. After that show ended, he left acting and studied political science at Yale University in a pursuit of becoming a lawyer. Although he did a mini-comeback into acting by appearing in three episodes of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit between 2014 and 2016, playing Consoler Don Taft, his interest in serious acting seemed pretty much dead. Carrie decided this would be her only acting role. In 2000, she earned her degree in liberal studies and child development. Today, she's a busy wife, mom, and teacher residing near Stanislaus County, California.

Liam Gallagher - Singing

Liam Gallagher is an English singer and songwriter who rose to fame as the lead singer for the rock band Oasis. He served as the singer for Beady Eye later on and then went solo after both bands were dissolved. In 2017, he released a successful solo album called As You Were. Topping the UK Album Chart, it was certified Platinum and made him loads of money. What’s he doing now? On September 2018, he’s set to perform with The Killers at the Singapore Grand Prix.

Kirk Cameron - Actor/Evangelist

Playing the role of Mike Weaver in the ABC sitcom Growing Pains earned young actor Kirk Cameron two Golden Globes nominations. Cameron had several film and television roles, among them, is Like Father Like Son in 1987. He played Cameron ‘Buck’ Williams in the Left Behind film series in the 2000s and Caleb Holt in the movie Fireproof. It is reported that Cameron is now an active Evangelical Christian, who with Ray Comfort, has a ministry called The Way of the Master. He and wife, actress Chelsea Noble, also co-founded a charity organization called The Firefly Foundation.

Nikki Blonsky - Celebrity Appearances

Starring in the movie Hairspray was a life-changing moment for actress Nikki Blonsky. However, the good times didn’t keep rolling in terms of movie roles as she’s had a hard time securing anything noteworthy since. She made a guest appearance in Ugly Betty in 2009, and in 2013 appeared in two episodes of the NBC drama series Smash. Blonsky has since tried to increase her earnings by making celebrity appearances at events, hosting a panel in 2018, and signing autographs at Causeacon in West Virginia.

Al Franken - Resigned Senator

He was one of the first, original performers on the television show Saturday Night Live when it started in the 1970s. After decades of being a comedic actor and writer, he decided to change pace and enter politics. He became a prominent liberal activist, hosting The Al Franken Show on Air America Radio. Then he became a member of the US Senate in 2008. Unfortunately, politics ended for him on a sad note as he resigned in 2018 amid personal misconduct allegations thrown against him. We're not sure if he’ll go into retirement, though.

Jeff Cohen - Lawyer

A child actor who starred as Chunk in the adventure movie The Goonies, Jeff Cohen learned at an early age what it was like to have your career hit a wall. He entered puberty following the movie. After his weight loss, his new image was found hard to sell. So Cohen focused on law, becoming an attorney and founding partner of Cohen & Gardner, LLP. He settled into the life and took up writing periodicals in 2014 on business and legal matters for Huffington Post and CNBC.

Mackenzie Rosman - Actress

Known for the role Ruth Camden on The WB's TV series 7^th Heaven, MacKenzie Rosman is another once-famous child star for whom acting roles became less lucrative with time.  She played the role of Lorelei in the 2009 horror film The Tomb and shocked fans by posing for Maxim magazine in 2013. Her most recent role was in a 2017 short film, Love Will Tear Us Apart. In April 2018, she reunited with former 7^th Heaven co-star Beverley Mitchell over a meal and some ‘girl time’. George Foreman - Christian Minister/Entrepreneur

George Foreman was one of the biggest names in professional boxing in the '70s and '80s, earning him the nickname ‘Big George’. Among his accolades is being a two-time world heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist. In the late 1970s, Foreman had a religious experience and became an ordained minister, founding The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ where he still ministers at weekly. He's also a very successful entrepreneur, launching his George Foreman Grill. It’s an investment he has never regretted, as more than 100 million units of it have been sold worldwide.

Dylan Sprouse - Acting

Dylan Sprouse is the twin brother of Riverdale star Cole Sprouse. The two starred in the Disney series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and the spin-off, The Suite Life on Deck for years. With the series ending in 2011, Dylan enrolled in a four-year degree program for video game design at Gallatin School of Individualized Study, New York University. This led to him opening his own business, All-Wise Meadery in Brooklyn, New York. However, acting still beckoned, so he’s now one of the topliners in a film currently in production called Turandot.

Steven Seagal - Battling Legal Troubles

Steven Seagal became famous onscreen in the '80s and '90s as an action hero carrying his own brand of justice via martial arts. He made his acting debut in 1988 with the box office hit Above the Law. By 1991, he has already starred in four successful films. He’s also a guitarist who has released two studio albums – Mojo Priest and Songs from Crystal Cave. Steven has been involved in a line of energy drinks and what he calls therapeutic oils products. These days, he seems to have his hands full battling lawsuits and racking up attorney fees.

Mercedes Lander - Band Drummer

Mercedes Lander is the drummer for the all-female Canadian alternative metal group, Kittie. The band started when Lander was only 12 years old. At the moment, the band isn’t really active. Lander has revealed that some of the problems they encountered while touring in the US are the financial requirements of matters like visas and taxes. Not much is known about Lander’s activities at this time, but she and her other band members are still doing some performances in Canada and working on a soon-to-be-released documentary about the band itself called Origins/Evolution.

Charlie Korsmo - Law Professor

If you’ve seen Hook and Dick Tracy, you’ll remember Korsmo as the child star in these films. He also acted in Can’t Hardly Wait while studying at MIT. However, after graduating, he decided that his acting days were behind him. He took a job offer to work in Washington, DC and is now a professor of Law at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. But though he left acting, he still gets earnings in the form of royalty checks from his role in Can’t Hardly Wait.

Kevin Jonas - Entrepreneur

The band Jonas Brothers might be no more, but Kevin Jonas is still in the dance. He changed gears to reality television, appearing on Married to Jonas with his wife Danielle. He also competed in the 7th installment of Celebrity Apprentice. Amanda Bynes - Fashion Design Student

Amanda Bynes had her own show on Nickelodeon and a promising life ahead. Unfortunately, she ran into legal and personal issues that led to a mental health breakdown in 2013. She underwent treatment and is working with a life coach. In the interim, the 31-year-old decided to take up fashion design, currently attending the Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). She will be completing her degree this year and is said to be looking forward to re-entering acting later in 2018, as some offers for roles have come her way.

Danica McKellar - Author and Actor

Danica McKellar was introduced to fame as a teen when she played the role of Kevin Arnold’s on-off girlfriend Winnie Cooper in the television series The Wonder Years. However, her love for Mathematics urged her to pursue a degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating with honors. Cooper put it to good use, having written five non-fiction Maths books targeting middle and high school girls. Despite the successful journey into authoring, Cooper didn’t leave acting behind and went to also star in several Hallmark movies including Campfire Kiss.

Jennifer Love Hewitt – Stay-at-Home Mom

While it might look like Tom Selleck should be selling facial hair wax and small combs, he went on a different venture instead. He was able to buy a ranch in California with an avocado farm that he continues to work on. Selleck enjoys working on the farm instead of hitting the gym. Steven Seagal - Russian Special Representative

Steven Seagal was appointed by Russia recently to be a 'special representative' on US-Russian humanitarian ties. According to Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Seagal will be promoting relations between the two countries "in the humanitarian sphere," which includes collaboration in youth and public exchanges, and culture. He won't have a salary though. The role is much the same as that of the United Nations goodwill ambassador position. Seagal became a citizen of Russia in 2016 and is a dear friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Andrea Barber - School Director

Andrea Barber played Kimmy Gibbler in the sitcom Full House, during the 1990s. In 2016, she began playing the adult version of the character in the Netflix reboot, Fuller House, alongside several of her old fellow cast members. In-between the two series, Barber focused on her studies, attending Whittier College in California. She left with an English degree and likely without any student loan. She then studied further in the UK at the University of York then became the director of the international study program at Whittier College.

Elizabeth Berkley - Author & Animal Rights Activist

Elizabeth Berkley has popularly been known for her roles on Saved by the Bell and the movie, Showgirls. She was a Hollywood fixture, then the movie Showgirls was released. It was a box office flop, and apparently, it affected Berkley's career. Afterward, she went on doing shows and films and even appeared on Dancing With the Stars as a contestant. Berkley, who's an animal rights activist as well, has authored a self-help book entitled Ask Elizabeth, which is perhaps a way for her to refinance as well.

Roseanne Barr - Political Activist

In 2018, Roseanne Barr became known for having a very strong political voice. Believing herself to be a politician, Barr was the  Peace and Freedom Party's candidate for the 2012 presidential elections and took 6th place. The actress gained even more popularity after starring in the eponymous sitcom Roseanne, which ran from 1988 to 1997. Her comedic style bordered on coarseness, which might be traced to her eccentricity and her battle with depression. Even so, she won over her fans and the show became popular.

Susan Boyle - Cashier (?)

Susan Boyle, with her powerful singing voice, made the headlines in 2014 when she applied for a cashier's job. However, it was just a false alarm. Susan said she inquired about the job on the spur of the moment as she just wanted to be normal - away from all the attention that goes with being famous. Tommy Rettig in the ’50s was a sweet boy having adventures with his best friend, the dog named Lassie.  After the show, he starred as a teenager on Never Too Young, alongside Tony Dow. She then appeared for three seasons on Parker Lewis Can’t Lose. But the hidden genius enrolled at Yale University, and graduated with a degree in ...drama? Then, in three shakes of a Hollywood minute, she was working as a lawyer. We told you it was weird.

Leanna Creel - Film Producer

She may be one of the Creel triplets but her successes are all hers. Leanna Creel started out acting with her sisters, Monica and Joy in several made-for-TV movies then got a break in her solo role as 'Tori' in the ’90s sitcom, Saved by the Bell. In her desire to be behind the camera, Creel got a degree from the UCLA and four years later, she's made an investment by putting up a production company named Ignite Entertainment. Presently, she's still at it with Creel Studio which focuses on food and travel.  

Michael Maronna - Electrician

You might be nostalgic about the old Michael Maronna from The Adventures of Pete & Pete, and the one who played Jeff McAllister on Home Alone and Home Alone 2, but kick that through the door! That old Michael is gone and in his place, we introduce the new Michael. He's an engineer, who has worked on the set of projects like Notorious, Nurse Jackie, and S** And The City. He is no longer on screen but he still gets his paychecks.

Hank Aaron - BMW Car Dealer

Hank Aaron shocked the world by breaking Babe Ruth’s home run record when he played for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves but got a lot of death threats and flak for it. Fortunately today, he gets some love with his own BMW dealership in south Atlanta. It's called Hank Aaron BMW. Financing a business seems to come naturally to Aaron as he owns several other dealerships around Georgia, plus a minimum of 30 restaurants. And every car buyer gets a signed baseball card. Jason Zimbler - Software Designer

Jason Zimbler got his big acting break as a star of  Nickelodeon’s Clarissa Explains It All. But he's disappeared. 'Want to know what happened to him? We'll try to explain it all. It turns out that he's doing pretty well for himself. He completed his studies at the University of Notre Dame in 1998, obtaining both a bachelors in Business and a Master’s in Theater Directing. HBO has been benefiting from Zimbler's expertise as a software engineer since 2011.

Rick Moranis - Dad

Comedian and actor Rick Moranis is famous the world over for his performances. Danny Lloyd - Biology Professor

As a child, Danny Lloyd got the part that made him famous as an actor in 1980. He starred on The Shining, playing that creepy kid Danny Torrance. Imagine having him living next door, wrecking your mental health! He was six years old then.
